For generations, the hills have quietly produced some of the biggest, oldest, most elusive bucks in the country. In fact, Buffalo County leads the nation in Boone & Crockett entries per square mile.
Buffalo County isn’t flat- and that’s part of what makes the hunting here so good. Our terrain is made up of rolling hardwood ridges, steep bluff country, and deep draws that create natural funnels and ideal deer habitat. That also means that getting to and from your stand might involve some hiking, climbing, and uneven ground.
Expect to hike some moderate to steep hills and come prepare with good boots!
